Reorganize 30 mass organizations to reduce to 20 organizations directly under the Front.
From now until 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) will continue to rearrange the mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to operate under the VFF by reducing the number from 30 to 20 organizations, streamlining the internal organization.
According to the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, since February, the work of reviewing and arranging the focal organizations within the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations has been carried out seriously.
At the Central level, by the end of February, the Vietnam Fatherland Front had reorganized its apparatus, streamlining from 284 focal points to 159 focal points (a reduction of 55.98%), from 2,720 positions to 2,185 positions (a reduction of 535 positions).
As of June 30, the current number of staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of socio-political organizations was 986 people; reduced from 36 focal points, specialized units under 5 agencies to 19 general advisory and support departments and special departments under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the provincial and communal levels, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued 22 decisions to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 22 provinces and cities (after reorganization and consolidation); recognized 3,077 committee members of 34 provinces and cities; 327 standing committee members in 34 provinces and cities; 33/34 chairmen of the provincial and municipal Fatherland Front Committees (vacancy in Quang Tri province); 22/34 deputy secretaries and chairmen of the provincial Fatherland Front Committees.
34/34 provinces and cities have completed the arrangement of advisory and support agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial level.
Streamline your organization
Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations were assigned 10 tasks. Notably, the decision to reorganize affiliated party organizations in socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to be consistent with the model after reorganization and rearrangement is worth noting.
At the same time, advise, review, adjust and supplement the functions, tasks and organizational structure of agencies and organizations under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Front guides localities in arranging mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to be under the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the provincial and communal levels.
At the same time, continue to organize and rearrange mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to operate under the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the direction of reducing the number of organizations, streamlining the internal apparatus, and operating practically and effectively.
Along with that is the leadership and direction of the press agencies under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensuring unified management, improving operational efficiency towards maximum streamlining, reducing the number of press agencies and magazines, and maintaining only really necessary units.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that the Fatherland Front will continue to review and rearrange the internal focal organizations under the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations; mass organizations at all levels assigned by the Party and State to be streamlined and reduce the number.
These tasks will be carried out between now and the end of 2025 and in 2026.
After amending the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and related laws, 5 socio-political organizations and 20 mass associations (rearranged from 30 current associations) will be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
+ 5 socio-political organizations include: Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietnam Farmers' Union, Vietnam Women's Union, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Vietnam Veterans' Association.
