Murdered wife and burned body to hide evidence in cemetery
On November 14, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Phuoc Province found the perpetrator who killed and burned the body at Phu Rieng Commune Cemetery.
The perpetrator, Bui Thanh Sang, 50 years old, residing in Phu Thanh village, Phu Rieng commune, Phu Rieng district, has been detained for investigation of murder.
Previously, at around 6:00 a.m. on November 12, some people working in the fields passing by Phu Rieng Commune Cemetery in Phu Vinh village discovered a charred body.
Through investigation, the police discovered many bloodstains on the road. From the bloodstains leading the way, at about 10 o'clock that same day, the police invited suspect Bui Thanh Sang to the agency for questioning. After more than 5 hours of struggle, Mr. Sang bowed his head and confessed to all his crimes.

According to initial testimony, the victim was his wife, Mrs. Tran Thi Mai Hoa, 50 years old. On the night of November 11, after a quarrel, at about 1:30 a.m. on November 12, Sang used a hammer to hit Mrs. Hoa in the back of the neck, causing her to collapse and die on the spot.
To conceal his actions, that same night, Sang took a mat and a raincoat to wrap his wife's body and used a motorbike to take her to Phu Rieng People's Cemetery, in Phu Vinh village, to burn her to destroy the evidence.

After many times of pouring gasoline on the body, it still did not burn completely. At dawn, afraid that someone would discover it, Mr. Sang left his wife's body in the cemetery.
Some neighbors of Ms. Hoa and her husband said that Ms. Hoa and her husband are from Vinh Long province and have been living in Phu Thanh village for more than 10 years. In their life, the couple often quarreled, Mr. Sang often drank alcohol and whenever he was drunk, he would beat his wife.
