(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the impact of the terrible flash flood that occurred in the early morning of October 2, hundreds of people in Ky Son have fallen into miserable lives. Currently, along with the recovery work, people are facing the fear of landslides that can collapse on the village at any time.

Due to the impact of continuous heavy rain over the past few days, Mr. Dinh Nho Thanh's house in Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district has many large cracks appearing on the walls. According to Mr. Thanh, not only the house walls, but also the road running in front of his house has more and more cracks longer than 60 meters, due to soil being pushed down from the hill, causing the entire residential area to be at risk of collapsing at any time. To ensure safety, Mr. Thanh's family has evacuated to stay with relatives in the village.

Not only Mr. Thanh's family, but many other households in the village are also in the same situation.

Mr. Vi Van Truyen - Head of Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune shared: Although located quite high, far from Huoi Giang stream - where the terrible flash flood just occurred, many households located along the road to Tay Son commune, Hoa Son village area have to face the fear of landslides, because the mountain range behind the village has appeared many large cracks running long, even many houses are split in half due to subsidence and faults.

Mr. Vi Van Truyen added: "Immediately after discovering large cracks on the top of the mountain behind the village and along the road in the village, the village management board allowed households to relocate to live with safe households in the village."

Due to the impact of heavy rain since the beginning of September, the mountains and hills have been over-watered, leading to landslides and faults, especially in the area of Muong Xen town and the villages of Hoa Son, Binh Son, Son Ha of Ta Ca commune..

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, there are currently more than 200 houses in the district at risk of collapsing due to landslides, of which 36 houses must be urgently evacuated. In Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune alone, there are 20 houses at risk of collapsing at any time.

In the future, thanks to the attention of the province and the Central Government, there will be a resettlement area with a long-term life for the people here."
