After 36 years of waiting, the Korean team beat Saudi Arabia in the penalty shootout at the Asian Cup.
The South Korean team won a ticket to the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup after defeating Saudi Arabia in a penalty shootout.
The Korean team faces a real challenge when they meet Saudi Arabia in the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup, the match will take place at 7pm on January 30, 2024. Hwang Hee Chan was the one who took the final 11m kick, helping the Korean team win 4-2 in the shootout to secure a ticket to the next round. Coach Juergen Klinsmann's team will meet Australia in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup on February 2.
