The identities of the subjects were identified as: Truong Van Ky (born in 1985), the homeowner; Vu Hoai Lim (born in 1976); Nguyen Xuan Thanh (born in 1983); Nguyen Cong Kieu (born in 1985); Tran Manh Ha (born in 1965) and Hoang Ngoc Thanh (born in 1982), all residing in Hamlet 6, Nam Lam, Dien Lam Commune (Dien Chau).
Previously, from information from the people, Dien Chau District Police detectives got involved and discovered that at Truong Van Ky's private home, gamblers often gathered to gamble with each other. However, to destroy this gambling den was not easy, because Ky's house was designed to be high-rise, modern, and very difficult to enter and exit.
The house was surrounded by barbed wire, making it difficult for the detectives to break in. Every time they gambled, Ky did not allow any strangers to join the gambling table.
