After more than 10 years, Nghe An restarts the Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers

On the morning of March 9, the Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the 2021 Provincial Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers at High School and Continuing Education Levels.

This year's contest has the participation of 188teacherHead teachers come from more than 100 high schools and continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers in the whole province.
Teachers participating in the Provincial Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers must meet professional standards at a fair level or higher in the 2019-2020 school year; have been recognized as an excellent homeroom teacher at the school/center level for 1 year in the 2 previous consecutive years or be recognized as an excellent homeroom teacher at the school/center level in the year of participating in the Competition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, DirectorDepartment of Education and TrainingThai Van Thanh affirmed: After 10 years of suspension, restarting the Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers is suitable for reality, needs and desires of the teaching staff, creating motivation to compete in teaching well and studying well.
The Director of the Department of Education and Training also emphasized the important role of the homeroom teacher in the school. Therefore, according to the Director of the Department, in addition to professional duties, the homeroom teacher will represent the principal; be the bridge between the principal - teachers - parents to educate, listen, and care about the thoughts and feelings of students.
Moreover, a good homeroom teacher will educate classes of students with enough knowledge to "learn to know, learn to do, learn to live together, learn to assert themselves".

In the current context, to become a good homeroom teacher is very difficult. To do so, in addition to ability, one must have pedagogical art, especially dedication, sharing, respect for the circumstances and individuality of each student.
A good homeroom teacher must also determine that "to educate personality, one must educate personality" and therefore, in any circumstance, the homeroom teacher must be exemplary, model both inside and outside of school and come from love for the students.
From the above reality, through the Contest for Excellent Homeroom Teachers, the Director of the Department of Education and Training hopes that the contestants must promote their abilities and wholeheartedly devote themselves to the work of homeroom teachers.

Through this contest, we will recognize, praise and honor excellent homeroom teachers. At the same time, we will create a healthy and useful playground, create a good pedagogical space, and contribute to the innovation process of education and training.
Teachers participating in the contest will go through 2 parts: Presenting a measure to contribute to improving the quality of class management work and practicing a lesson on organizing educational activities. The award ceremony and closing ceremony of the contest are expected to be held on March 26, 2021.
