After petition, Syrian baby receives letter and gift from President Putin
Nine-year-old Syrian girl Iman Ali, who had earlier appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, recently received gifts and a letter from the Russian head of state at a reception in the Russian Embassy in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Previously, the girl sent a drawing and a small letter with thanks to the head of the Russian state.

"I am very touched by your words of gratitude and respect. The sincerity in these lines shows that every child dreams of a blue sky and simple human happiness in their beloved home... I believe that thanks to talented and determined children with kind hearts and open minds like you, the Syrian State will have a bright future," Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Defense Ministry Alexander Chaiko read Mr. Putin's letter to the Syrian girl.
The little girl received gifts from the Russian President, which were a toy pigeon, a big teddy bear and a very pretty doll.
Eldar Kurbanov, Russia's special envoy and adviser to Syria, noted that the girl could become a diplomat in the future. "Your letter has reached Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and the President has replied to you. This is a very serious diplomatic job, you have all the potential. So, when you grow up and want to pursue a career in diplomacy, you will be successful," the Russian diplomat commented.
Iman Ali herself said that she really liked Moscow, the city she had the opportunity to visit not long ago. She expressed her gratitude to the Russian and Syrian soldiers who are fighting international terrorism on Syrian territory.
Iman Ali lives with her family in the city of Latakia. She is studying Russian at a local education center and says she loves Russia and its culture.
