Six suspects arrested for setting fire to car carrying director
Nearly two weeks after setting fire to a car traveling through Hau Giang province, killing the director and injuring two others, six suspects have been arrested.
On the afternoon of October 17, Major General Ho Sy Tien - Director of the Criminal Police Department (C45, Ministry of Public Security) - said that he had arrested 6 suspects involved in burning the director's car while it was running in Hau Giang.
"Initially, the suspects confessed that they committed the crime due to family conflicts," said Major General Tien.

Meanwhile, Hau Giang police leaders said they were taking the group of suspects to headquarters to take statements and continuing to hunt down the remaining suspects.
Previously, on the evening of October 4, Mr. Tran Van Ri (74 years old, Director of an Aquatic Feed Company in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) and Ms. Vo Thi Chien (42 years old, Deputy Director of the company) were taken by Lai Van Trung (35 years old) in a 7-seat car to the factory in Kien Giang.
When the car was running on National Highway 61C, passing through Nhon Nghia A commune, Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang, a group of people on motorbikes jumped up and blocked the way.Strangers pepper sprayed the car, stabbed the woman andset fire to the car and quickly escaped.
Three victims were rescued by locals with severe burns before the car was completely burned. After a week of treatment in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Ri died.
Hau Giang police then initiated a case of Murder and Property Destruction.
