In 2006, Ngoc Thuy married tycoon Duc An after only 7 days of meeting. This is considered the hastiest marriage in Vietnamese showbiz to date. However, the relationship between the model and the tycoon lasted for 2 years and then broke up amid many conflicts.
After the divorce, Ngoc Thuy and her ex-husband disputed for many years the assets worth up to 288 billion VND. Specifically, during the time they were still married (2007-2008), because he did not have Vietnamese nationality, tycoon Duc An used the assets he had created before marriage to buy real estate, vehicles, open bank accounts, stocks... in Vietnam and asked Ngoc Thuy to be the owner and user of the documents.
These assets include dozens of apartments, plots of land, and villas in large projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Phan Thiet such as Avalon Building, Sailing Tower, Sea Links Golf & County Club, etc.

After a tumultuous marriage with her ex-husband, Ngoc Thuy married a Vietnamese-American lawyer in June 2016. It is known that he was the one who supported Ngoc Thuy during the period when she suffered a lot from her tumultuous divorce with tycoon Duc An.
