After Tet is always the "recession" period of car prices, because people's demand tends to decrease, the market during this period is almost frozen, forcing dealers to reduce prices.

According to annual tradition, the time before Lunar New Year is always the peak shopping season, especially for expensive items such as cars and motorbikes. Therefore, during this time, motorbike prices are always at an extremely high level.

Specifically, according to records on the 26th of Lunar New Year, motorbike prices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City suddenly increased.

According to annual tradition, the time before Lunar New Year is always the peak shopping season, especially for expensive items such as cars and motorbikes.

In particular, the "price king" Honda SH model recorded a record high price of up to 123 million VND for the 150cc ABS version, a difference of 24 million VND compared to the suggested price of Honda Vietnam (HVN).

In Hanoi, the price difference of SH motorbike is less than 20 million VND, however, compared to the average monthly selling price, it is still 1-3 million VND higher.

Not only the SH scooter model, other Honda models are in the same situation.

Specifically, at some Honda authorized dealers in Hanoi, the actual selling price of Honda Vision ranges from 33-35 million VND, depending on the version and dealer, a difference of 3-4.5 million VND.

Honda Air Blade is priced at dealers ranging from 41-48 million VND, depending on the version and dealer, with a difference of 1-7 million VND. In particular, the matte black Air Blade version has the highest price difference, and this is also the version that is favored by customers.

Honda SH mode price difference is 6-11 million VND, the version with the highest price difference is SH mode personality (price 63-64 million VND), 11 million VND difference compared to Honda's suggested price.

Not only Honda, the number 1 manual motorbike model in the Vietnamese market, Yamaha Exciter, also increased by about 500,000 VND to 1 million VND compared to the end of January. Accordingly, the selling price of Exciter RC, GP, blue-gray, blue-black are all being sold higher than the suggested price by 1.5-4.5 million VND.

Just a few days after Tet, prices dropped dramatically

The high price of motorbikes before Tet was almost predictable. The reason for this situation is that motorbike dealers take advantage of the peak season to increase prices to make a profit.

However, right after Tet, people's shopping needs decrease significantly, the shopping market almost freezes, especially expensive items. The post-Tet shopping market falls into a gloomy state that can last until April and May (early summer).

Some Honda dealers said that their stores will reopen after Tet holiday today (February 21), and the selling prices of some car models will also be adjusted downward.

In particular, the SH model will immediately cool down, decreasing by 1-4 million VND compared to before Tet. Specifically, the actual price of Honda SH 125 CBS at the dealer ranges from 80-81.5 million VND (without papers), a difference of about 11-13.3 million VND, a decrease of 500,000-1.5 million VND compared to before Tet.

The actual selling price of Honda SH 125 ABS at the dealer ranges from 86-88 million VND (without papers), a difference of about 10-12 million VND and a decrease of 300,000-1.3 million VND compared to before Tet.

The actual price of Honda SH 150 CBS at the dealer is 92-94 million VND (without papers), a decrease of 500,000-2 million VND compared to before Tet. Finally, the SH 150 ABS model has an actual price at the dealer of 101-103 million VND (without papers), a decrease of 3 million VND compared to before Tet.

Other models such as Honda Vision, Air Blade, SH mode, LEAD also decreased by 200,000-1.5 million VND compared to 10 days ago. Other models such as Honda Wave Alpha, Future, PCX did not change their selling prices. Because the current selling prices of these models are about 600,000-2 million VND lower than the suggested price.

The Winner manual motorbike model still maintains a low selling price. The actual selling price of Winner at the dealer is 38-39 million VND (sport version) and 39-40 million VND (high-end version), 6-7 million VND lower than the suggested price.
