Director Hoang Vinh Bao shared: “Currently, the Department is responsible for managing and licensing nearly 20 types of licenses and certificates. In the process of licensing electronic information sites, social networks, and online games, the Department is also under a lot of pressure. The Department has considered eliminating these types of licenses.
The Department has also proactively tightened internal operations, requiring relevant individuals not to receive applications directly, but to go through a letter to have the office monitor the progress of processing license applications and must respond to the application in full. Individuals handling applications must read the application carefully and announce the request for amendments and supplements to the application once, avoiding multiple requests, making businesses feel harassed and extorted.
Director Hoang Vinh Bao also said that in 2015, the Department of Radio - Television and Electronic Information completed the drafting of the Decree on radio - television services, aiming to simplify administrative procedures, eliminate and limit licensing, and implement management activities mainly based on post-audit. Hopefully, this Decree will be issued in 2015.
In the field of building and promulgating legal documents, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information is actively researching and building 2 Circulars that are considered to be very difficult because they are related to new fields and developing too quickly. These are the Circular on providing public information across borders; and the Circular on providing public information content on mobile telecommunications networks./.
