This is an annual program organized by the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, Ministry of Health.

This year, in addition to the usual screening and early detection of breast cancer, the program has expanded to include two more common cancers: cervical cancer and colorectal cancer.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of cancer cases and deaths in Vietnam is on the rise. In 2000, 68,000 Vietnamese people died from cancer, and by 2010, the number had increased to 126,000. It is forecasted that by 2020, this number will exceed 190,000 people/year.

Late detection of the disease is one of the reasons for the increase in the number of deaths, so in this program, the Ministry of Health hopes to convey a message of "cancer - immediate screening, treatment within reach".

This year, the program has built 18 screening points in 8 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
