(Baonghean.vn) - After the opening ceremony of the Nghe An International Culinary Culture and Tourism Festival, the stall areas were filled with trash.

The evening of July 17 was the opening night of the Nghe An International Culinary Culture and Tourism Festival 2019, with locals and tourists flocking to the festival to enjoy the specialties.

After enjoying the food, people carelessly littered, causing the whole area to be filled with trash.

The reason is that the number of people flocking to the festival area has increased dramatically while people's awareness is not high and the preparation is not thorough. Besides, the arrangement of trash bags and trash cans at the stalls is not enough to meet the huge demand of diners.

Faced with the above situation, during the night, the authorities mobilized human resources to clean up.

Ms. Dinh Thi Nga, a sanitation worker at Vinh City Central Park, shared: From 4:30 this morning (July 18), all the company's employees gathered to collect trash with high spirit and determination. In just over an hour, all the trash was collected and brought to the collection site.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Long, a stall owner, shared: The number of visitors on the opening night was a record high because this was the first time the event was held, so it attracted tourists to come and experience. After cleaning up the stalls, we all assisted the sanitation workers in moving the rubbish to the collection point to ensure that the rubbish was collected promptly.

On the morning of July 18, Nghe An Department of Tourism worked with the Environmental Sanitation Company and stalls to help with the organization and cleaning after the festival nights.

We have instructed the cleaning company to commit to cleaning the area before 6am every day, and to increase the placement of garbage bags at counters and place garbage bins in appropriate locations to ensure garbage collection.
