Elections for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels will take place on May 22, 2016.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 4, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to deploy the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

Comrades Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Ch.incubateChairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee disseminated Directive No. 51/CT-TW, dated January 4, 2016 of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels, term 2016 - 2021.

The Directive emphasizes that the election is an important political event. Along with the success of party congresses at all levels, organizing this election well is an opportunity to continue building, consolidating and perfecting the socialist rule of law state of the people, by the people, for the people.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee disseminated Directive 51 of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

Therefore, selecting and electing exemplary people in terms of virtue and talent, worthy of representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the new term, is a key task of the entire Party, people and army in 2016.

Comrades Cao Thi Hien, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, thoroughly grasped the Plan of the National Election Council to deploy the work of electing National Assembly deputies and electing National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; Nguyen Huu Lam, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, organized and guided the work of personnel for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies. Focus on doing well in personnel work, ensuring the promotion of democracy and the Party's centralized and unified leadership in personnel work; linking the personnel results of Party congresses at all levels and personnel planning with personnel preparation work to introduce exemplary people with the capacity and conditions to perform the tasks of elected representatives.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the Party Committee, government and political system need to urgently start the work of implementing the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels after this conference.

Do a good job of propaganda; resolutely fight against all distortions, plots, and activities that sabotage the election, and take advantage of the election to disrupt security and order. Have proactive plans for all situations that may arise during the election.

For districts, cities and towns, urgently establish steering committees to comprehensively lead the election work, properly and timely carry out election work according to the law; conduct consultation, selection and introduction of candidates in the locality; establish election organizations and promptly direct the resolution of issues arising during the preparation and organization of the election.
