Will there be entrance fees to relics, scenic spots, and museums in Nghe An?
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting of the Industry Science Council to collect comments on the draft Project and Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the collection of fees for visiting relics, scenic spots, museums and cultural works in Nghe An province.
In reality, the whole province currently has 1,395 relics that have been inventoried and managed, of which 375 relics and scenic spots have been ranked, including 3 special national relics, 137 national relics and 235 provincial relics.
In which, scenic spots such as: Bua Cave (Quy Chau), Khe Kem Waterfall (Con Cuong), Sao Va Waterfall, 7-storey Waterfall (Que Phong), Che Island, Cau Cau Dam (Thanh Chuong) ...; 3 museums, including: Nghe An Museum, Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, Quy Chau District Ethnic Culture Museum and many cultural works, including famous works such as: Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Memorial House ... are cultural and tourist attractions that have not yet collected fees according to regulations.

The project has identified the necessity and advised the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution to collect fees for these types of activities according to the provisions of the Law on Fees and Charges, contributing to establishing a unified fee policy system, creating a legal basis for implementing fee policies in the province to manage and control more effectively fee-collecting activities according to the provisions of law.
At the same time, the project contributes to implementing the policy of socialization in providing services to society, gradually reducing subsidies from the state budget for public service activities according to Decree 16/2015/ND-CP of the Government on the autonomy mechanism..., especially, creating a source to offset costs for collection, management and use of sightseeing fee revenue at the unit, supplementing funds for preservation, restoration and repair activities in the context of state budget resources facing many difficulties.
After the meeting, the Project development team of the Department of Culture and Sports will supplement and complete the draft and send it to relevant departments, branches, and localities in the province for comments and solicit public opinions to soon complete the draft, advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution on collecting fees for visiting relics, scenic spots, museums and cultural works in Nghe An province according to the Law/.
