At the meeting, departments, units, wards and communes presented specific difficulties and problems in each locality. The biggest difficulty was determining the origin of land use before and after 1980; many households did not agree with the land prices at the departure and destination locations, did not agree with the compensation plans for land acquisition and resettlement, and had petitions sent to higher levels.
Concluding the meeting, the City Party Secretary requested departments, units, wards and communes to focus more on site clearance work. Reassign roles and responsibilities of comrades in the Steering Committee and working groups in each locality. By June 20, 2017, if households, organizations and businesses have not yet handed over the land, the city will organize compulsory land recovery according to regulations.
