Before that, in the morning, there was a qualifying round to select the 16 strongest archers to enter the next round for the 2 individual 3-string bow events for men and women.
In the qualifying round, Tien Cuong - who won 2 individual gold medals in the last 2 SEA Games - did not play very well but he still won the right to enter the round of 16 strongest archers (ranked 15/16 in the qualifying round). Hopefully, Tien Cuong will play well in the knockout round and win the gold medal.
