On March 31, the Secretariat of the National Committee for the 12th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) and the 12th Southeast Asian Games for the Disabled (ASEAN Para Games 12) of Cambodia (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) officially announced the free entry for the public at home and abroad to attend events and activities and not collect media copyright fees for the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games.

In a statement sent to the domestic and international public, CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC conveyed the decision of the Royal Government of Cambodia at the plenary session of the Cabinet on the morning of March 31, affirming the policy of free admission to the opening and closing ceremonies and competitions at the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games for domestic and international fans; at the same time, free copyright for sports information promotion activities both domestically and internationally.

In addition, fans who have purchased tickets to watch the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games will be refunded.

Previously, after receiving information about the organization of ticket sales to attend events and activities at the upcoming SEA Games in the late afternoon of March 30, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen responded quickly with a message sent to the people of the whole country via his official Telegram channel.

Prime Minister Hun Sen affirmed that Cambodia has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on building technical facilities for the competition and has devoted many resources to other infrastructure projects over the years. Therefore, he does not allow the sale of tickets to the public to watch the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the matches at the SEA Games as posted on a sports website, without the consent of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Tea Banh, Chairman of CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC, as well as himself, in his capacity as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games with 37 sports and the 12th ASEAN Para Games with 13 sports, taking place in May and June respectively, a historic sporting event after 64 years of waiting for the people of this Southeast Asian country.

Two upcoming regional sporting events in Cambodia are expected to attract more than 11,000 members of sports delegations.

With the slogan "Sports in Peace", the 32nd SEA Games will take place from May 5-17 in the capital Phnom Penh and four other localities including Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep./.
