SeaGames 29: U22 Vietnam will meet Thailand in the final match

(Baonghean.vn) - The 2017 SEA Games Organizing Committee has just announced a change in the football competition schedule. In addition to the change in match time, the order of the teams facing each other has also been changed, we will meet U22 Thailand in the final match.

In men's football, U22 Vietnam is in Group B with 5 other teams: Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Timor Leste from August 15 to 24, 2017.

Coach Nguyen Huu Thang and his team will start their journey in Group B with a match against U22 Timor Leste and end with an important match against U22 Thailand.

Matches against Timor Leste, Indonesia, Thailand will be played at Selayang Stadium, matches against Philippines, Cambodia at Shah Alam Stadium. It is known that these two stadiums are about 40 km apart.

According to the updated schedule of the Organizing Committee, we will meet Timor Leste, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia and finally Thailand. This is the given schedule, we will meet opponents from easy to difficult, more favorable than the old schedule. Meanwhile, Thailand will meet Indonesia in the opening match, which is considered more disadvantageous.

Football matches at the 29th SEA Games will take place at 5 stadiums located in 3 different cities in Malaysia: Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Shah Alam Stadium, Selayang Stadium, UITM Shah Alam Stadium and UM Arena.

Certainly, the U22 Vietnam coaching staff must consider and recalculate their performance when having to play against two teams, Indonesia and Thailand, in the last two rounds only two days apart.
