Lightning kills four buffaloes in mountainous district of Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Lightning appeared during the rain this afternoon (April 6) and killed 4 buffaloes of a farmer in Tuong Duong district.

According to Mr. Lu Kham Phon - Vice Chairman of Nga My Commune People's Committee, Tuong Duong District, at 12:50 pm this afternoon (April 6), in Xop Kho village, Nga My commune, Tuong Duong district, there was heavy rain with thunder and lightning.
As a result, lightning killed four buffaloes of Mr. Lo Van Doan's family in Xop Kho village.
When the lightning struck, the buffalo were being kept under a shed in the family farm area. Mr. Doan’s family said the value of the four buffaloes was nearly 70 million VND.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities and people in the commune helped his family slaughter a buffalo and buy meat to support the family with a total amount of more than 16 million VND.

Hailstorm and tornado damaged 149 houses in western Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 3:30 p.m. on April 5, a large hailstorm accompanied by a tornado occurred in the border communes of Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts (Nghe An). Initial statistics show that 149 houses were damaged by the tornado and hail.
