Lightning strike leaves one resident in critical condition

(Baonghean.vn) - While sitting in her house, Ms. Ho Y Mai in Pha Bun village, Huoi Tu commune (Ky Son) was struck by lightning. The victim received first aid and was taken to the emergency room in critical condition.

At about 4:30 p.m. on April 11, a large tornado occurred in Huoi Tu commune (Ky Son), causing quite heavy damage in Na Ni and Pha Bun villages.

According to preliminary statistics in Na Ni village, the storm accompanied by hail knocked down trees, completely collapsed a house and ancillary structures of the family of Mr. Vu Ba Cho, a teacher at Muong Long Secondary School; blew off the roof and damaged dozens of houses.

Particularly in Pha Bun village, lightning struck a house, seriously injuring Ms. Ho Y Mai (35 years old), who was in the house at the time. Ms. Mai was given first aid by the locals and then transferred to Ky Son District General Hospital for emergency treatment.
