Super Typhoon Dorain is forecast to have winds of up to 240 km per hour
The US National Hurricane Center warned that Hurricane Dorian's path has changed significantly since the evening of August 30, with the storm heading north toward the states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
On August 31, after strengthening to level 4, an extremely dangerous level on the 5-level scale, super storm Dorian changed its direction to the North, threatening to make landfall in the US states of North Carolina and South Carolina.

However, US authorities do not rule out the possibility that this super storm will still make landfall in Florida early next week, and at the same time warn people to quickly evacuate as recommended and increase their stockpiling of food and necessities.
The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) warned that Hurricane Dorian's path has changed significantly since the evening of August 30, with the storm heading north toward Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. However, in Florida, Hurricane Dorian will still bring heavy rain.
Hurricane Dorain is forecast to have winds of up to 240 km/h, affecting millions of people.
The US authorities are currently urgently deploying measures to respond to Hurricane Dorian. 2,000 National Guard troops have been mobilized and another 2,000 are expected to join the storm response.
Meanwhile, officials are working to ensure that health centers will continue to have adequate power. People are also advised to increase their food and essential supplies.
On August 30, US President Donald Trump canceled his visit to Poland due to Hurricane Dorian. He also declared a state of emergency in the state of Florida, requesting federal agencies to be ready to provide maximum support to the area where the storm passed. President Trump directed the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to coordinate support for people in the disaster area.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also declared a state of emergency in 67 counties of the state and called on millions of people to prepare for the storm.
Along Florida's east coast, people have begun stocking up on food, water and fuel in anticipation of the storm. Long lines have formed at gas stations in South Florida.
Authorities in the eastern and central coastal counties have distributed sandbags to residents./.
