(Baonghean.vn) - On April 9th, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dan district issued a decision to fine electronics supermarkets and other businesses in the district.

Among the establishments that were penalized were major brands such as Dien May Xanh and Media Mart...

Specifically, four businesses selling non-essential goods along National Highway 46 in the center of Nam Dan town were fined: Dien May Xanh supermarket (10 million VND), Media Mart Nam Dan electronics supermarket (10 million VND), Thanh Chuong electronics store (7.5 million VND), and Thanh Danh mobile phone shop (7.5 million VND).

At the Thanh Danh mobile phone trading and exchange business, one individual was fined 200,000 VND for not wearing a face mask; the team also issued a 200,000 VND fine to one person riding a motorbike without a face mask.

From April 6-9, the People's Committee of Nam Dan district established two inter-agency inspection teams to monitor the implementation of Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020, of the Prime Minister on urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in communes and towns within the district. As a result, a total of 35.4 million VND in fines were imposed on individuals and establishments for violations.

In the coming period, Nam Dan district will continue to inspect and strictly handle violations related to business activities, large gatherings, and not wearing masks in public places, in accordance with Official Document 609 of the Nam Dan District People's Committee. Furthermore, the leaders of communes and towns will be held fully responsible if these violations recur.
