Million dollar supercar LaFerrari is hard to own even with money
Despite its super expensive estimated price and recent launch, the LaFerrari Aperta convertible version has sold out, making it difficult for even the rich to own.

After many days of waiting, finally the convertible version of the million-dollar supercar LaFerrari was officially launched at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The full name of this version is LaFerrari Aperta, a name often used by Ferrari for many special limited edition versions previously produced for other car lines.
The key point that makes the difference for LaFerrari Aperta is its more liberal style that does not only focus on speed. The car is shown in the roof that can be opened with two options: a super-light carbon fiber hardtop or a convenient softtop. This is also the difference between the two versions because the basic lines are still kept the same by the Italian car company compared to before.
The LaFerrari Aperta's specifications remain similar to the coupe. |
In addition, the second impressive point of this supercar is its ability to operate equivalent to the coupe version. This rarely happens because of the significant weight increase due to the convertible design and some other reasons, so these versions often have slower acceleration time and some worse parameters than the coupe version.
Thus, LaFerrari Aperta still owns a 6.3-liter V12 engine combined with a 163-horsepower electric motor for a total capacity of 963 horsepower, 900 Nm of torque. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 350 km/h. Especially with the improved wind barrier system, the car still maintains the same wind resistance index as the coupe and allows people sitting in the car to talk even when the roof is open.
At this point, even with money, it's hard to "touch" the nose of the LaFerrari Aperta because all 200 cars have owners. |
It is known that only 209 LaFerrari Aperta cars were produced, less than half of the number of coupes with a selling price of up to 2 million USD. However, only 200 cars will be sold worldwide because the remaining 9 cars are used by the Italian car company for display purposes and activities to celebrate its 70th birthday.
Even if you have the money to buy a car now, it’s too late because all of them are already taken. Simply put, the launch of the LaFerrari Aperta at the 2016 Paris Motor Show was just to show off the Italian automaker’s new product.
