Student returns 20 million VND found to its owner.

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 16th, news from the leadership of Vinh Industrial University (Nghe An) indicated that the school will organize a ceremony to commend and highlight the exemplary actions of student Nguyen Huu Ha (born in 1993) for his honesty in not taking found money.

Earlier, at 9:20 PM on June 10th, Ha went to a restaurant at 15 Ho Xuan Huong Street (Hong Son Ward, Vinh City) for a late-night meal. After leaving, Ha accidentally discovered a black wallet left behind by a customer under the table. Upon checking the wallet, Ha found nearly 20 million VND and some other important documents inside.

That same night, Ha went to the Hong Son Ward Police Station to report the incident. Upon investigation, the police determined that the person who had left the wallet behind was from Yen Bai province and was temporarily residing in the area. The police then contacted the person and completed the procedures for returning the property.

Ha said: "When I checked the wallet and saw that it contained a lot of money, I thought about how to return it to the owner. When I heard that the police had contacted the owner of the wallet, I was so happy."

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Le Ngoc Xuan, Vice Rector of Vinh Industrial University, said that Nguyen Huu Ha is currently a final-year student in the College of Finance and Banking, class of 13. Ha is the youth union secretary and a diligent and enthusiastic student. His actions are highly commendable and worthy of praise.
