Tri Le is a border commune of Que Phong district, where 4 ethnic groups (Kinh, Thai, Mong, Kho Mu) live in 33 villages, the economic life of the people as well as transportation are extremely difficult. After the end of the school year, 22 volunteers from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, mainly from Nghe An, from Hanoi went straight to Tri Le commune as planned to help the local people. After more than a week, the volunteer student team coordinated with local people to organize many meaningful and practical activities: Building inter-village traffic, expanding and repairing the road from Na Tui village to Na Can village, 1 km long; building intra-field traffic in the villages, overcoming steep and narrow roads, so that people can bring machinery to the fields conveniently; building irrigation works, digging canals, clearing trees, embanking rocks, repairing water canals from upstream to the villages for people in Mong villages. Arriving at Tri Le in the middle of the harvest season, the volunteer team also helped people harvest rice, giving priority to harvesting, threshing, and transporting rice to families with preferential policies, families in difficult circumstances, and those with few people in Na Tui and Na Can villages. Along with that, there were activities to introduce and promote crop varieties suitable for the locality, good livestock and production models, and advanced farming methods for people to learn. On this occasion, towards the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, the team visited and presented 12 gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution in 6 villages.
