Excellent graduates are considered for civil service recruitment
From July 1, 2020, excellent graduates will be considered for civil service recruitment. This is one of the contents approved by the National Assembly in the Law on Cadres, Civil Servants and the amended Law on Public Employees No. 52/2019/QH14.
The current Law on Cadres and Civil Servants stipulates that there is only one case in which civil servants are recruited through examination. That is the case where two conditions are met at the same time: Having Vietnamese nationality, being 18 years of age or older, having an application, having a clear background, having appropriate degrees and certificates, having good political qualities and ethics...; Committing to voluntarily work for 5 years or more in mountainous, border, island, remote, ethnic minority areas, and areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions.
However, the amended Law has added 2 more cases to be considered for recruitment according to the decision of the competent authority recruiting civil servants, including: Students studying under the recruitment regime according to the provisions of the Law on Education, after graduation, they will work in the locality where they were sent to study; Excellent graduates, talented young scientists.

These subjects are considered for admission to civil service if they are not within the disciplinary period or related to discipline.
This amended law will take effect from July 1, 2020.
