The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and responsibility among the entire society, especially young people, students, and university students, regarding environmental protection. Through a flash mob performance featuring an impressive and energetic dance by 300 students from Vinh University and a bicycle parade along the main streets of Vinh City, the aim is to convey a message to everyone about protecting the environment on our green planet.

Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970, in the United States, with the participation of 20 million people, including students from 2,000 universities. It originated from an idea in a speech by Senator Gaylor Nelson in September 1969.
