SLNA begins AFC Cup 2018 journey from February 14
(Baonghean.vn) - The Asian Football Confederation has just announced the 2018 AFC Cup schedule. Accordingly, SLNA will begin their journey in the continental football tournament with a visit to Tampines Rovers (Singapore).

According to the draw results, SLNA is in group H with Tampines Rovers (Singapore), Persija Jakarta (Indonesia) and 2015 champion Johor Darul Ta'zim (Malaysia).
V.League 2018 is scheduled to take place on March 10. And so the Nghe team will play 3 matches in the AFC Cup 2018, which officially begins the domestic tournament. The season will start with the National Super Cup match between the V.League 2017 champion - Quang Nam and Song Lam Nghe An on February 4, 2018.
Recently, coach Nguyen Duc Thang of SLNA said that the Nghe An team has successfully retained striker Olaha Michael. According to regulations, SLNA participating in the AFC Cup will be allowed to register 3 foreign players, 1 foreign player of Asian origin and 1 naturalized player, but only allowed to register and use 2 foreign players and 1 naturalized player in 1 V-League 2017 match.
