SLNA has 6 young players focusing on the 2020 U19 Asian Qualifiers
(Baonghean.vn) - To prepare for the 2020 AFC U19 Qualifiers, the new head coach of Vietnam U19, Mr. Philippe Troussier, has called up 6 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club. These are also the players that were previously called up by Coach Hoang Anh Tuan.
Accordingly, the young SLNA players that coach Philippe Troussier has focused on include goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba, defenders Ho Khac Luong, Vuong Van Huy, midfielders Nguyen Xuan Binh, Dang Quang Tu and Tran Manh Quynh.
In particular, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba was the best player of the Youth - Children's Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup in 2012 in the Dien Chau Youth Football Team jersey. In the same year, Vuong Van Huy was the best player and together with Yen Thanh Youth Football Team successfully defended the championship title.

This is the generation of players born in 2001, marking the return of SLNA youth training center when they won the national U13 tournament in 2014. After that, although they did not compete successfully in the U15 tournament, these faces continued to win the Silver Medal at the national U17 tournament in 2018.
Recently, U19 SLNA won the Bronze Medal at the National U19 Finals after losing to HAGL in the semi-finals. In the recent tournaments of U18 Vietnam and U19 Vietnam, the above players were all present. Among them, Ho Khac Luong, Nguyen Xuan Binh, Dang Quang Tu and Tran Manh Quynh were often in the starting lineup.
According to the draw results of the U19 Asian Qualifiers, the Vietnam U19 team fell into group J with Japan, Mongolia and Guam.
