SLNA signs contract with new uniform sponsor

On the morning of November 17, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of the uniform sponsorship contract between Song Lam Nghe An Football Club and Grand Sport sports company took place.

The signing and announcement ceremony of the contract was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation, the Board of Directors of Tan Long Group, the SLNA Coaching Board, the SLNA Fan Club and stars of the Nghe An team such as Hoang Van Khanh, Nguyen Van Hoang, Phan Van Duc, and Pham Xuan Manh.

Established in 1979, SLNA Club is not only known as the team that owns many championships such as V.League (1999-2000; 2000-2001; 2011), National Cup champion (2002; 2010; 2017), National Super Cup champion (2000; 2001; 2002; 2011) but also holds many records in youth tournaments such as U13, U17, U19 and U21 National.

After a difficult year in 2021, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club was transferred to Tan Long Group Joint Stock Company and from here, the team has had positive changes. In addition to retaining key players, the SLNA Club's Board of Directors is also calling on some stars currently playing for the national team to return to contribute to their hometown team.

Inheriting the elements of identity and tradition, one of the key issues of the SLNA Club's Board of Directors is to build and develop the brand. From there, calling on sponsors and brands to join. And one of the major brands that SLNA Club has reached a cooperation agreement with is the sports brand Grand Sport from Thailand.

Grand Sport has 60 years of experience in this field and is also the official uniform sponsor of the Vietnam National Team. It is known that in the past, since the 2000s, Grand Sport has been a trusted partner of SLNA Club. The biggest highlight of which was the V.League championship in 2011. However, this time, Grand Sport is officially the uniform sponsor of the Nghe An team.

Specifically, the estimated value of the sponsorship contract is around 2 billion VND/year. The two sides cooperate comprehensively in the categories of costumes for both SLNA Team 1 and some other categories. Notably, SLNA Club and Grand Sport also found a common voice in distributing genuine costumes to fans.

Sharing about this cooperation, Grand Sport representative Mr. Tran Thanh Trung said: “SLNA Club is one of the largest and most successful clubs in Vietnam. In addition, we highly appreciate the vision, direction and determination of the Club's Board of Directors. We wish to provide uniforms for SLNA Club to best support the competition and activities of the athletes in particular and the Club in general. From there, join hands with the Club to develop a distribution channel for genuine products, serving the large number of SLNA fans”.

On SLNA’s side, Mr. Truong Manh Linh – General Director and CEO shared: “In the past, SLNA and Grand Sport had a relationship. The prestige and quality of the company’s products are what any club in Vietnam desires. Besides, most clubs in Vietnam are still quite unfamiliar with this field, so we want to aim for professionalism and receive active support from an experienced unit like Grand Sport.

SLNA Club hopes that Grand Sport will create all conditions for SLNA coaches, players, and fans to have the best quality products and hope that SLNA fans will welcome and respond strongly. We also hope that this cooperation will help the team take a new step forward in the process of integration and development."

As part of the overall plan for image and communication, SLNA Club is expected to soon announce a new brand identity and launch the official jersey of the new season in January 2022.
