SLNA "training troops" at the beginning of the new year
(Baonghean) - On February 24, after the Tet holiday, SLNA players gathered again and had their first training session. During the first training session of the new year, the players were given light training by the coaching staff with ball juggling and running around the field.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporter, Coach Ngo Quang Truong said: Currently, V.League is on hiatus for more than 1 month so that the U23 team can focus on training to prepare for the 2016 U23 Asian qualifiers in Malaysia, so it will be on April 12, 2015 that SLNA will enter the 9th round to welcome the visiting team Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Vinh Stadium. During the U23 Vietnam team training session, SLNA had 4 players called up by Head Coach Miura: Ho Phuc Tinh, Ho Tuan Tai, Que Ngoc Hai, Pham Manh Hung.
On the morning of February 24, these players went to Hanoi to train with the national team. Although 4 key players who were called up to the national team were absent and foreign player Abubakar asked for permission to arrive late, in order to maintain the players' physical strength, the coaching board still decided to gather the team for serious training.

SLNA players practice in the spring. |
Despite the long Tet holiday of nearly 10 days, the SLNA players were very enthusiastic and practiced seriously in the first training session. The audience watching the training session on the field said that in SLNA's training sessions, player Bosma appeared to be very agile and had very skillful technical movements, but in the last 8 rounds, this striker has not shown much on the field and has mainly been "wearing out his pants" on the bench. Therefore, during this long Tet holiday, he decided not to return to his hometown but to stay and practice in the hope of finding an official position in the near future.
To add to the excitement of the players, head coach Quang Truong and assistant goalkeeper Duc Thang also ran around the field with the players. In one corner of the field, while his teammates were resting after the physical running laps, goalkeeper Duc Cuong (who has always played a backup role for "spider man" Nguyen Manh in the past rounds) was diligently practicing juggling exercises to gain more skills in handling the ball with his feet. In the training atmosphere of the SLNA first team, Nghe An referees who are participating in the V.League and the National First Division, Duy Khanh and Hoang Anh, also diligently practiced their physical strength by running around Vinh field. These two referees said that in order to meet the increasingly high requirements of the VFF, physical strength is a very important issue for referees. Because without good health, it is difficult to keep up with the situations that happen very quickly in the matches.
When asked about SLNA's upcoming plans, Coach Quang Truong said: In the next month, because we don't have to participate in any tournaments, SLNA will focus on training the players' physical strength and practicing techniques and tactics so that the young players and foreign players can coordinate better. Regarding the force, SLNA will not change anything after this break.
Currently, SLNA has 14 points after 8 rounds and is ranked 6th on the rankings. In the recent rounds, SLNA's young players have had impressive performances, however, the performance of Nghe An players is still erratic and the performance of foreign players is still unstable.
As the oldest player in SLNA at present and in very good form, making important contributions to help the Nghe An team win unexpected victories in recent rounds, Captain Quang Tinh said: Achieving the recent achievements is a great effort of the SLNA Club because entering this year's season, SLNA had many personnel changes, many young players were playing in the V.League for the first time. With the current force, we determined that every time we enter a match, we will play our best to achieve the best results. According to Captain Quang Tinh, B.Binh Duong is still SLNA's most formidable opponent in the V.League. However, in order to compete for medals this season, the SLNA Club's Board of Directors should add more quality foreign players to support the young players.
