SLNA will have another goalkeeper for the second leg of V.League 2020
(Baonghean.vn) – The injury is progressing well and the goalkeeper born in 1992 has every chance to play again in phase 2 of the 2020 season in the SLNA shirt.
Goalkeeper Le Van Hung, born in 1992, won the National U17 Championship with SLNA in 2009 and was awarded the title of “Best Goalkeeper” of the tournament. At the National U21 Championship in 2014, Le Van Hung had an impressive performance throughout the tournament, especially in the final match against Hanoi U21, helping SLNA U21 win the championship.
However, due to the excellence of his senior Tran Nguyen Manh, during his time in the first team, Van Hung was only the second goalkeeper at SLNA. He was registered for V.League 2015 but did not play a single minute.

In the 2016 season, Van Hung only played 1 match against Dong Thap. In the 2017 season, Le Van Hung was the main goalkeeper for SLNA twice in the V.League in the matches against Thanh Hoa and Long An. In 2018, SLNA faced a crisis in the goalkeeper position, had to borrow Phan Dinh Vu Hai from Hai Phong, but Van Hung himself was injured and could only play 4 matches.
The 2019 season started, Nguyen Manh was injured in the away match against Than Quang Ninh and was absent from the match against B. Binh Duong. However, in preparation for that match, Le Van Hung sprained his left elbow during a training session and the whole SLNA team could only rely on young goalkeeper Tran Van Tien.
Last May, bad luck continued to haunt Van Hung. He suffered a torn meniscus injury in his left knee during a training session. Le Van Hung did not put on gloves to play a single match for the Nghe An team.

When Nguyen Manh left SLNA and Van Hoang joined SLNA, the 27-year-old goalkeeper spent most of his time treating his injury at PVF and practicing physical recovery. This made coach Ngo Quang Truong only name goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang (from Saigon FC), Tran Van Tien and young goalkeeper Ho Van Tu for V.League 2020.
In SLNA’s recent training sessions, goalkeeper Le Van Hung has recovered from his injury and returned to training normally. However, it will not be until phase 2 that this 1m80 tall goalkeeper will have the opportunity to compete for an official position in the goal.
