Nghe An Department of Tourism warns against fraudulent behavior in tourism service business activities
Nghe An Department of Tourism has just issued Official Letter No. 856/SDL-TTR to Nghe An Police; individuals doing tourism business in the province; domestic and international tourists about warning against fraudulent behavior in tourism business activities.
The document clearly states: Recently, Nghe An Department of Tourism and Nghe An Department of Tourism Inspectorate have received complaints from tourists about taking advantage of the peak tourist season when there is a shortage of local accommodation at certain times in Cua Lo Town, on social networks such as Zalo, Facebook, TikTok... there has been a situation of impersonating accommodation establishments to fraudulently receive room deposits from tourists.
As the state management agency for tourism in the area, Nghe An Department of Tourism requests that interested agencies and units coordinate and implement a number of measures:

Propose that the Provincial Police direct professional units to investigate, verify and strictly handle online fraud in tourism activities.
It is recommended that organizations and individuals providing tourism services in the province in general and Cua Lo town in particular publicly disclose their phone numbers, bank accounts, and business addresses, take self-protection measures, advise customers when booking services at the facility, and promptly inform the authorities.
Tourists are advised to verify and consult before transferring money to book services.
