Accordingly, in document No. 1656/SGDĐT – GDTH, dated August 30, 2016, the Department of Education and Training directed 73 schools that have implemented the New School Model Project (VNEN) in the period 2013 – 2016 to:

Evaluate the results of teaching organization, learning materials and take timely corrective measures to promote the positive aspects and limitations of the model. In particular, teaching organization needs to focus on developing students' personal capacity and qualities; at the same time, it is required to consolidate students' knowledge and skills according to the program's objectives. In organizing teaching, it is necessary to pay attention to detecting and promptly helping students who are shy or have limited learning ability.

Regarding the use of documents: flexibly combine the use of project documents to innovate teaching and learning methods; at the same time, pay attention to consolidating knowledge and skills in practice and self-study sessions to meet the requirements of improving teaching quality.

Classroom space arrangement: need to be flexible, suitable to the school's reality in terms of class size and classroom area. Only arrange large groups when necessary for the corresponding learning content.

Regarding class organization: teachers guide students to take turns being elected to participate in class activities. Pay attention and create opportunities for students with limited communication skills to participate in appropriate class and group activities.

Other adjustments (if any) will be proactively decided by the school based on consultation with teachers and parents. Do not follow a formula or wait for instructions from superiors.

For the remaining schools: choose an implementation roadmap and apply it appropriately to the conditions and capabilities of each school and each teacher based on the choices of the collective of teachers and parents.

Regarding the fact that some parents in Vinh City objected to sending their children to study under the new school model, on August 31, 2016, the Department of Education and Training also sent a separate document to the Vinh City Department of Education and Training. It directed Nguyen Trai Primary School and Hung Dung 1 Primary School to seriously evaluate the results after 4 years of implementation.

On that basis, promote appropriate elements that have been successfully implemented; overcome and adjust elements that are not suitable for the conditions of facilities, number of students and teachers' abilities such as: use of classroom space, use of materials and organization of teaching to both implement the orientation of the new school model and ensure improvement of the quality of the school. The process of directing the replication needs to have a reasonable roadmap, suitable for the conditions of each school, the ability and readiness for innovation of the management and teachers.
