Nghe An Department of Education and Training provides support to schools damaged by storm No. 3
The recent floods have severely damaged the education sector with 40 schools directly affected. This is the most damage in the past 10 years.
On the afternoon of July 30, comrade Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training led a working delegation of the Department to visit and provide support to a number of teachers and schools affected by floods in Con Cuong commune.

During the recent floods, Con Cuong commune was one of the localities heavily affected by floods. In particular, in the education sector, 3 schools were deeply submerged in the flood, namely Chi Khe Kindergarten, Tra Lan 2 Kindergarten, Tra Lan 2 Primary School. In addition, 61 families of teachers working at many schools in the area were also seriously damaged, many teachers had their houses and properties swept away by the flood, life is facing many difficulties.
In order to encourage and share with schools and teachers, the working group of the Department of Education and Training visited a number of schools in the area to grasp the situation of overcoming the consequences of floods, share the difficulties and find solutions to overcome them in the coming time.

At Chi Khe Kindergarten, one of the schools heavily affected, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh acknowledged the efforts of the school community in recent times.
After the flood, although the school campus was deeply submerged in water and had to be cleaned up with more than 1 meter of mud, in recent days, teachers in the school have coordinated with other units to promptly clean up and bring the school back to normal.
Regarding other difficulties such as lack of teaching equipment, repairing damaged and lost facilities, the industry and local authorities will continue to work together to overcome them as soon as possible.

On this occasion, the Department's delegation also visited a number of teachers who suffered losses in the historic flood; hoping that the teachers would soon overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, the industry provided support to 11 teachers, each with 5 million VND; and supported Chi Khe Kindergarten with 50 million VND.
According to the plan, in the coming days, the Department of Education and Training will directly visit a number of schools and school locations in mountainous communes heavily affected by storm No. 3 to grasp the situation and soon find solutions to restore and prepare conditions for the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training had called for and mobilized the entire sector to support localities and schools in overcoming the storm and flood. Up to this point, the entire sector has mobilized nearly 1.5 billion VND to support damaged schools.
According to statistics, 40 schools and schools located in the communes of Keng Du, Vinh Tuong, Tam Thai, Chau Binh, Nhon Mai, Yen Hoa, Na Loi, Muong Xen, Thanh Binh Tho, Chau Tien, Nam Can, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Chieu Luu, Xuan Lam, Quynh Anh, Muong Tip, and My Ly suffered heavy damage due to floods and landslides, with an amount of hundreds of billions of VND.

In addition, the industry also mobilized many schools in the province to send delegations of teachers to some mountainous communes to directly support teachers and people in cleaning, sanitizing, and overcoming difficulties after storm No. 3.
