(Baonghean.vn) - This is a meaningful activity for children living and studying at SOS Children's Village Vinh on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2021.

On the evening of September 21, the Department of Education and Training visited and gave gifts to students living inSOS Children's Village Vinh.

SOS Children's Village Vinh is currently raising and caring for nearly 200 children in 15 families and dormitories for young men and young women (for children over 14 years old). The children of the Village are all in especially difficult, unfortunate, orphaned circumstances and do not receive direct care and support from their biological parents.

Coming to join the joy of SOS Children's Village Vinh, the Department of Education and Training visited and encouraged the mothers and students living in the Village, and at the same time, shared the joy.Mid-Autumn Festivalwith families.

Also at the program, the Department of Education and Training gave 10 phones for children to study online and gave many Mid-Autumn gifts to them.

This is a meaningful activity to bring joy to students in the village on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2021. This activity is also part of the program "Waves and computers for children" with the desire to support online learning devices for disadvantaged students across the province.

Speaking at the program, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh shared the hardships and disadvantages that the children face. The Department leaders also expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the care, love, nurturing and education that mothers and teachers have given to hundreds of children with unfortunate fates.

Besides, he also expressed his joy that over the years, despite very special circumstances, the students at SOS Children's Village Vinh still strived, tried hard, and achieved many high achievements in their studies.

On this occasion, Hermann Gmeiner Vinh High School also used the Golden Heart Fund to award scholarships to two students, Xong Ba Hua and Phan Thi Quyen, who passed the university entrance exam with high scores, each worth 4 million VND. Of which, Phan Thi Quyen was admitted to the University of Finance and Marketing in Ho Chi Minh City. Xong Ba Hua is the first Mong ethnic student of the Village in the past 30 years to be admitted to the Hanoi Medical University.
