Department of Transport brings warm clothes to the most remote commune of Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Leaders and staff of Nghe An Department of Transport presented hundreds of gifts worth more than 150 million VND to people and units of Keng Du commune. This is the farthest commune of Nghe An from the provincial capital.

The delegation was led by Director Nguyen Hong Ky, accompanied by Deputy Director Nguyen Huu An. At the commune People's Committee headquarters, the delegation presented 500 warm coats and 200 pairs of sandals to students in the area. Keng Du is located more than 70 km from Muong Xen town and more than 320 km from Vinh city. This is the most remote commune in Nghe An province. Keng Du has more than 900 households, of which more than 96% are Khmu ethnic people. This is also one of the poorest communes in Nghe An with more than 72% of households being poor. In 2017, the average income per capita of this commune was just over 10,000 VND per day. Photo: Tien Hung |

Households receiving breeding cows must sign a commitment to take good care of them. After the first birth, they will be rewarded and the calves will be handed over to another household.
