Nghe An Department of Transport offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), Nghe An Department of Transport organized many memorial and gratitude activities.
In recent days, a delegation of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Nghe An Transport sector led by comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport, offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Le Canal Memorial, Truong Ke Martyrs' Cemetery, Truong Bon National Historical Site, and Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.

At the Le Dynasty Canal Memorial in Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District, the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the great contributions of King Le and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting foreign invaders to protect the Fatherland.
Here, during the resistance war against the US, more than 1,350 soldiers including army forces, youth volunteers, and officers of the Transport sector did not fear the rain of bombs and bullets to ensure the supply line to the South was always open, and 130 people heroically sacrificed for the cause of national reunification.
Next, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Cemetery on Road 7 - Truong Ke, My Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District. The cemetery is the resting place of 454 martyrs of the Transport sector who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The delegation also came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Truong Bon National Historical Site, My Son Commune, Do Luong District. They paid tribute to the heroic martyrs and youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Especially the heroic sacrifice on October 31, 1968 of 13 heroic youth volunteers of the "Steel Squad" of the 317th Youth Volunteer Company.

At the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs Cemetery in Anh Son District, the delegation of the Nghe An Department of Transport respectfully offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Temple; laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs - the resting place of nearly 11,000 martyrs who were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos.

Commemorating and paying tribute to heroic martyrs is an activity organized by the Nghe An Department of Transport on the occasion of the annual War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27). Through this, it aims to express deep gratitude for the heroic martyrs' contributions and educate revolutionary traditions for generations of cadres and employees of the unit.
