(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 10, 2014, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district held a conference to review the results of the past three years of implementing Government Decree 80 on community reintegration.
From 2002 to the present, Yen Thanh district has had 1,227 people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their local communities. Thanks to the efforts of all levels, sectors, and localities, after three years of implementing Government Decree 80 on ensuring the reintegration of former prisoners into the community, Yen Thanh district has seen positive changes in community awareness regarding former prisoners; the management, education, and assistance of former prisoners have been strictly and properly implemented. The district government has provided counseling, career guidance, vocational training, loan support, and job placement assistance for those reintegrating into society, actively participating in crime prevention and control, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area...

In particular, over the past three years, departments, agencies, and localities have successfully rehabilitated 259 exemplary individuals, coordinated legal advice and assistance for 620 people who have completed their prison sentences; organized vocational training, helped create jobs, and provided loans for economic development totaling 568 million VND.
