The Department of Science and Technology meets with outstanding media collaborators.

((Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the 2014 Nghe An Science & Technology Award Ceremony, on the afternoon of May 7, 2015, the Department of Science & Technology and the Center for Science & Technology Communication of Nghe An organized a meeting with science and technology communication collaborators. Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Department of Science & Technology and over 100 collaborators, including experts and scientists, who are partners in the field.

With efforts to innovate the content and format of its publications, from May 2014 to the present, the publications of the Department of Science and Technology, namely the Science and Technology Magazine and the Social Sciences and Humanities Special Issue, have undergone many innovations in presentation and printing, published monthly; and have increasingly attracted a team of contributors who are reputable experts, managers, and writers.

In addition to the publications mentioned above, the Center has also developed a television channel and an online information portal to disseminate information about science and technology activities. Along with news in the province's main newspapers, in 2014, the sector's publications published over 2,520 news items, averaging 210 items per month; in the first five months of this year, over 500 news items and articles have been updated and published.

Despite the aforementioned advantages, the industry's publications still have some limitations and weaknesses, such as a lack of insightful critical articles and a failure to provide clear directions for the province's agricultural and rural development.

Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology and numerous collaborators attended the event.

At the conference, representatives of outstanding collaborators frankly offered suggestions, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of publications issued by the industry; they also proposed additional outlines and topics to ensure that the publications adhere to their principles and objectives; and they emphasized the need to showcase and identify suitable plant and animal varieties and technologies for promotion, introduction, and encouragement of people's application in daily life, thereby boosting productivity and efficiency in various aspects of socio-economic life.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology presented gifts and honored 10 outstanding collaborators in the field of science and technology communication in the province.
