To reach an accurate conclusion on the issue raised by Nghe An Newspaper and to implement the directives of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in order to ensure the rights of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and to ensure fairness and objectivity in the implementation of policies in accordance with the Party and State's guidelines, the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has issued the following directives: On February 27th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs sent a document to the Nghi Loc District People's Committee to investigate the content of the Nghe An Newspaper report on the implementation of policies for victims of Agent Orange. Currently, Nghi Loc district has established an inter-agency inspection team including the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the District Police, the District Military Command, the Veterans Association, the Former Youth Volunteers Association, the District Inspectorate, and the Department of Justice; Initially, the district inspectorate has widely solicited opinions from the people and local authorities of Nghi Quang, Nghi Thiet, and Nghi Hop communes. Initial results: The individuals concerned are being asked to provide additional documents and evidence; the commune People's Committees are providing witness statements; The inspection team members, comprising military and police personnel, examine the original records to determine the operational areas of the accused, and provide a written conclusion to serve as the basis for the final decision.
However, due to the sensitive nature of this issue, the Nghi Loc District People's Committee and the inspection team need more time to verify the documents before reaching an official conclusion to report to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Information and Communications, and Nghe An Newspaper.
