According to Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc, the data that delegate Luu Binh Nhuong mentioned about violations by the investigation agency is not accurate.

At the press conference announcing the results of the 6th session of the National Assembly this afternoon, the press raised the debate between delegate Luu Binh Nhuong and Director of Nghe An Provincial Police Nguyen Huu Cau regarding the handling of crime reports by the police force.

Afterwards, the Central Public Security Party Committee sent a document requesting the National Assembly Party Delegation to review the statement of delegate Luu Binh Nhuong because it believed that the data this delegate provided was inaccurate.

"May I ask, what is the opinion of the National Assembly Party Delegation so far?", the reporter asked.

Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

Responding, Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that the figures mentioned by delegate Luu Binh Nhuong were not accurate.

“The number of remaining unsolved petitions is 84/87, which is really high if divided among them. But in reality, it should be 84 divided by the total number of petitions, which is 120,141,” said Mr. Phuc.

Mr. Phuc said that at the question and answer session, the National Assembly Chairman assigned two delegates to discuss with each other to clarify the issue. The Ministry of Public Security then sent a document to the National Assembly Party Delegation.

“The Delegation Working Committee has discussed with delegate Luu Binh Nhuong to clarify that content. Delegate Luu Binh Nhuong has also accepted it,” Mr. Phuc added.

Previously, at the question and answer session on November 1, delegate Luu Binh Nhuong (Ben Tre) said that he supported the recent revolution in the police sector, but through the report, he saw that "the violations of the investigation agency were terrible."

He cited the following figures: 94% of crime reports were not accepted, 86% were late in sending decisions to the Procuracy, 99.76% were overdue in handling reports, and 100% were violated in serving...

In response, Nghe An Provincial Police Director Nguyen Huu Cau affirmed that all of these figures were incorrect.

Delegate Cau Thong Tin, he reread the reports of the People's Procuracy, the number of reports of crime denunciations with recommendations for prosecution not accepted according to the provisions of law was 87/more than 120,000, the number of reports resolved past the deadline was more than 3,300/more than 120,100.

According to Mr. Cau, this is information that makes the police force "very excited".
