Coach Park Hang-seo warned Doan Van Hau about his fate in the Netherlands.
(Baonghean.vn) - Doan Van Hau's chance to play in the Dutch National Championship 2019/2020 season is almost gone. This can be considered a failure of Vietnamese football on the path of "going abroad". And this failure was almost predicted by coach Park Hang-seo.
Doan Van Hau joined the Dutch team Heerenven on a loan contract that lasted until the end of the 2019/2020 season. When he arrived in this tournament, the defender born in 1999 was only put on the field for 4 minutes in the Cup and was only used in the tournament for the reserve team.
Recently, the Dutch Prime Minister has just ordered a ban on all activities including sports until September 1 due to Covid-19. This also means that the Dutch National Championship will definitely have to stop at least until then.
September is the time when European national championships start simultaneously and the possibility of this year's tournament in the Netherlands being canceled is very high. Some teams have also called for the cancellation of the 2019/2020 season. Accordingly, the opportunity for Van Hau to play in the remaining rounds of the 2019/2020 Dutch National Championship is almost gone.
Doan Van Hau's adventure can be considered a failure and Coach Park Hang-seo seems to have predicted this failure. Right after the 2018 AFF Cup championship, the Korean coach was asked by author Jang Won Jae about the possibility of Vietnamese players going to Europe to play.

Coach Park Hang-seo frankly answered in the book written about himself: "Currently, no Vietnamese player has reached the level to go to Europe. However, if physical training is provided, we will have to wait about 5-6 years, I think there will be the first player to go to Europe."
Looking back at the past, on August 31, when Van Hau was training with the Vietnam national team, Hanoi FC asked him to ask for permission from coach Park Hang-seo to leave the team to go to the Netherlands to sign a contract, even though the match with Thailand would take place on September 5.
At that time, Coach Park Hang-seo was very surprised and held an unexpected press conference at Hang Day to talk about the incident. The Korean coach did not seem happy when he heard that Van Hau would join the Dutch team a few days before the match against Thailand. At the same time, he asked the Hanoi Club to add a clause so that Van Hau could return to attend the 30th SEA Games.
It is known that next week, Hanoi FC will have a negotiation with Heerenveen to find a reasonable solution for the future of Doan Van Hau. If retained, Van Hau will hardly be able to play for Heerenveen for the next 4 months. However, if he returns to V.League, he will have to wait until the return leg because the tournament has started 2 rounds, past the deadline for additional players.
Thus, Doan Van Hau is in a dilemma, whether he stays in the Netherlands or returns to Hanoi FC, his performance and mentality will certainly be affected because he does not play regularly. Already facing a difficult problem from Dang Van Lam and the strikers, Coach Park will have an additional headache because of the situation of his favorite student in the Netherlands.

In addition to predicting that Vietnamese players are not yet capable of playing in Europe, Coach Park Hang-seo also expressed his other thoughts and wishes about Vietnamese football. Among them, the biggest problem is the systematic system in training young players. Only a few clubs are being managed very well such as Hanoi, HAGL, Viettel...
According to Coach Park, it is necessary to increase the number of youth training centers at clubs because the number of young players is too small. In Vietnam, there is no national championship for youth teams, only professional tournaments. If the youth football system is not improved, it will be difficult to achieve results in international tournaments.
Also from those strategic proposals of Coach Park, the Vietnam Football Federation has recently made moves by increasing the number of teams participating in the V.League 2 (First Division) from 12 to 14. In addition, organizing an additional National Cup tournament for U15 and U17 teams right after the national championship.

Will coach Park Hang-seo upgrade the Vietnam national team with a 3-man central midfield formation?
(Baonghean.vn) - Over the past 2 years, with the 3-4-3 tactic, Vietnamese football has been successful at many team levels, from the U23 Asian Cup Finals, Asian Games 2018, the AFF Cup 2018 championship or most recently the resounding success at the Asian Cup 2019 and the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. However, recent matches show that this formation needs to be upgraded and renewed.
