(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Finance sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2015), the leadership and staff of the Nghe An Department of Finance visited Ho Chi Minh Square to lay a beautiful wreath for President Ho Chi Minh and report to him on the achievements that the Finance sector has attained over the past 70 years.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Nghe An Department of Finance – on behalf of the unit, reported to Uncle Ho on the achievements of the unit and the sector. Over 70 years of construction and development, the organizational structure of the Nghe An finance sector has been continuously improved, and the capacity of finance sector officials has been constantly enhanced, meeting the requirements of various historical periods. Many leaders have risen through the ranks of the finance sector, holding many important positions at the provincial and central levels. Currently, the Nghe An Department of Finance has nearly 100 staff members, including many with master's degrees, advanced political theory qualifications, bachelor's degrees, etc.

Through the movement of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, the staff and employees of the Department of Finance have upheld the tradition of solidarity and mutual support, embodying the spirit of "sharing food and clothing" to support flood victims; contributing to the construction of the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Highway 9 in Quang Tri province to honor the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for national independence; donating to help build and repair dilapidated and temporary houses; giving savings accounts to the poor in poor communes in Western Nghe An... annually contributing to funds such as: the Children's Protection Fund, the Fund for the Poor, giving gifts to policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day on July 27th, supporting the "Tet for the Poor" campaign, organizing social activities and mutual assistance for Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district.

With the attention and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, along with the efforts of the staff and officials of the Department of Finance, significant achievements have been made: Revenue collection in the province exceeded the assigned plan; budget expenditures proactively met the needs of regular spending and prioritized investment for the province's development. The department adhered to the management, inspection, and control regime before, during, and after budget allocation and disbursement; and implemented cost savings in spending. Personnel, administrative, and mass organization work was well-cared for, and administrative reform continued to be effectively implemented; Price management, public asset management, corporate finance, capital construction investment management, and financial inspection have made positive contributions to the management and operation of the state budget and finance. These great achievements have contributed to the socio-economic development, national defense, and security of the entire province throughout its 70-year history of construction and development. Over the past 70 years, the Nghe An Department of Finance has received many prestigious awards from the Party and the State: the Third-Class Labor Medal awarded by the President; the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Finance; and the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for many years. In 2014, the Nghe An Department of Finance was again awarded the Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister for its outstanding performance in fulfilling its duties and leading the patriotic emulation movement in Nghe An province in 2014.
