On the morning of January 12, 2013, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a meeting with delegates from the fields of literature, arts, and broadcasting who had been awarded State prizes, People's Artist titles, and Meritorious Artist titles. This meeting was held to celebrate the first gathering of intellectuals and artists living and working in Nghe An province, as well as delegates who are natives of Nghe An living and working throughout the country, organized by the Provincial People's Committee.

Attending the event were Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant departments and agencies, and a large number of artists living and working in the province in particular and throughout the country in general.

With the aim of honoring and recognizing the contributions of intellectuals and artists living and working in their homeland and throughout the country, the meeting took place in a friendly, open, and warm atmosphere of camaraderie. Artists from many generations had the opportunity to interact, meet, and exchange thoughts and aspirations, especially the difficulties and challenges in their profession, and together find solutions to ensure the sustainable development of art in the province in particular and the country in general.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong affirmed the great contributions of the artists and writers to the development of culture and arts in the past. He expressed his hope that in the future, the artists and writers will continue to contribute to Nghe An, especially by offering heartfelt advice to the province so that Nghe An folk songs can soon become an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
