The results are as follows: Patient La has a history of bronchial asthma and is currently taking medication (unclear what medication). At around 24:00 on April 21, 2016, the patient ate rice with mackerel (because the patient had bronchial asthma, he ate dinner late). After eating, a red rash appeared all over the body, especially on the face, neck, back and arms, accompanied by itching of the palate and oral mucosa. The patient did not have symptoms of food poisoning such as vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain.

The patient was given IV fluids at home but did not improve and was admitted to Vinh City General Hospital for emergency treatment at 1:30 p.m. on April 22, 2016. According to the hospital diagnosis, the patient had a food allergy and is currently being treated with anti-allergy drugs, antibiotics, and electrolyte replacement. Currently, the patient is conscious, responsive, and progressing well. The allergic rash on the face, hands, and back has gradually improved.

Thus, the above case is due to food allergy - a disease that can occur in anyone, especially common in people with allergic constitution like patient La (Bronchial asthma is also an allergic disease). That means, in this case, it is not at all due to the hygiene of the food (mackerel).

This conclusion of the Department of Health completely coincides with the information that Nghe An Newspaper previously stated in the article "There is no such thing as people being poisoned by eating sea fish as rumored" in Nghe An Newspaper on April 27, 2016.
