Nghe An Department of Health: Proposes strict punishment for those who assault doctors

On the morning of August 23, Nghe An Department of Health had a working session with Nghe An General Hospital 115 and related doctors and nurses in the case of a medical staff being assaulted in the emergency room.
At the meeting, leaders of Nghe An Department of Health visited and encouraged two medical staff who were assaulted, sharing the mental and physical injuries they suffered in the recent case of violence against medical staff.
Representatives of the leaders of Nghe An General Hospital 115 also reported in detail on the process of receiving and treating patients, and the developments of the case of violence against medical staff.
At the end of the meeting, pharmacist Hoang Van Hao - Acting Director of Nghe An Department of Health said: Through checking the medical examination and treatment process in the case, we found that the doctors and nurses performed their duties correctly. This is shown through the medical records, cameras and the attitudes of the doctors and nurses.

The Department of Health will send an official dispatch to the Public Security Department and report to the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee... requesting that the authorities investigate and clarify the wrongdoings, strictly handle the perpetrators, and handle those who are at fault to the extent of their wrongdoing.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: On the evening of August 18, staff at Nghe An 115 Hospital were beaten in the emergency room. The two medical staff who were beaten were doctor Hoang Thi Minh and nurse Le Quang Hoa. The person who abused the two medical staff was Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang Thang - Director of Tan Thang Construction Joint Stock Company.
On August 22, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health sent Official Dispatch No. 1195 on handling information reported by the press, requesting the Director of Nghe An Provincial Department of Health to direct General Hospital 115 to urgently verify the case of a medical staff member being assaulted by a patient's family member in the emergency room and report the results of handling the case before August 26./.
