(Baonghean.vn) -In Quang Thinh village (Tam Dinh - Tuong Duong), the People's Committee of the commune and various levels and sectors successfully organized the 2014 rice planting competition.

Six teams from seven villages in the commune participated in the competition. Along with the Tree Planting Ceremony, this is one of two activities included in Tuong Duong district's policy for communes since 2013, with the aim of encouraging people in the district to stay connected to farming, especially rice paddies.

Tuong Duong is a mountainous district, and its economy remains challenging. Thanks to sound investments from all levels of government, along with the district's correct policies, especially the effective utilization of favorable natural resources to meet the local food needs of the people, the district has achieved significant progress.

This year, despite the unfavorable weather conditions in recent days, with rain and cold temperatures, the commune-level officials and members of each team were very enthusiastic, creating a vibrant atmosphere at this year's competition.
