Exciting Christmas Bird Competition

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 24, in Vinh City, Vinh Tan Bird Club - Vinh City Ornamental Creatures Association organized a contest of bird singing, celebrating Christmas 2017.

Participating in the Bird Singing Contest in Vinh City this time are nearly 130 bird cages of many bird enthusiasts, from bird clubs in 3 provinces Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh.

On the occasion of Christmas and the establishment of the Cau Ram Parish Bird Association (Vinh City), the contest organizers have specially allowed 18 bird cages from Cau Ram Parish to participate in the contest for free.

Like other competitions, the criteria of the competition is to select beautiful, well-singing, strong-voiced bulbuls to award prizes. Each round will gradually eliminate the bulbuls that are confused or sing poorly. The good-singing bulbuls will be gradually selected into the top 30, 20, 10, etc.

According to the artists whose birds participated in the contest, although the number of bird cages this time was less than in other contests, the quality of the birds with standard singing voices was quite high.

After more than 4 hours of competition, through 16 rounds, the judges selected the best birds to award prizes.

The first prize was awarded to Mr. Duong Quang Hoa in Le Loi ward (Vinh city) with a trophy, certificate and a 40-inch TV (worth 11.5 million VND). The second prize went to Mr. Tran Huu Phuc (Huong Son, Ha Tinh), with a 40-inch TV (worth 7 million VND). The two third prizes went to Mr. Uy Vu (Do Luong) and Mr. Thanh Long (Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh) with each prize being a 180-liter refrigerator (worth 2.9 million VND). In addition, there were prizes for the top 10, 20, 30, 40, style prizes... and many other valuable gifts.
